Getting started

How do I sign up?

To sign up on Rave you need to navigate to https://rave.flutterwave.com, you can sign up as an Individual, Registered Business or NGO. Enter the required information and you would be logged into your Rave dashboard.

What are the required documents for signing up and going live?

On Rave you are live after your account is created but have limits. As an individual, you need to submit your BVN and Identification ( National ID, Driver’s License or International passport).

Can I use the same CAC forms and documents for different profiles?

Rave has an ‘add a business’ feature, with this you do not have to create multiple profiles for different business. You can have 1 profile and add more than one business, each business is a switch away with each dashboard connected to one profile.

The Dashboard

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

To reset your password, navigate to https://rave.flutterwave.com/login on that page click on ‘forgot your password’, you will get an email with a link asking you to reset your password, once you complete that your password would be changed.

How do I view or edit my account information?

To edit your account information, navigate to Settings, on the dashboard you can edit both personal and business information along with other account settings( API, Webhooks, Users).

Can I also disburse using my Rave account?

Yes. You can use the payout feature on the dashboard.

How do I pass Rave charges to my customers?

To pass Rave charges to your customers, navigate to Settings and click account settings on the dashboard, then select the option - make customer pay the transaction fee.

How much does it cost to use Rave?

Rave’s standard pricing for Local transactions are 1.4% + NGN50 and for International 3.5%

Do you have WHMCS plugin?

WHMCS is still in development.

I tested my public key and secret key but the result i get is invalid public key.

Please make sure you are using the Live base url when using with Keys gotten from your dashboard. The live base url is https://api.ravepay.co/flwv3-pug/getpaidxand not http://flw-pms-dev.eu-west-1.elasticbeanstalk.com/flwv3-pug/getpaidx

What does Rave charge to set up an account?

Rave doesn't charge any fee for setup and there are no hidden charges as well.

What are the fees for Rave account?

Rave charges local and international merchants per transaction, our standard pricing on Rave for Local transactions are 1.4% + NGN50 and for International 3.5% + $1.

I have a dollar account; can I move my money into my dollar account or any African country account?

Yes, Rave will settle your USD collections into your designated dollar account anywhere in the world.

What currencies can I receive my payments? / Can I receive payment from any client in Africa?

Yes, you can. You can either receive payment in the country's local currency if it is supported already or in USD. We are adding support for more currencies on a rolling basis.

Can I cancel a payment that I've already sent?

Not applicable

Is there a monthly fee for Rave?

No, there is no monthly access fee on Rave. the fees charged are per transactions.

What is the transaction limit on my Rave account?

The transaction limit depends on your Rave account. If you are,
An Individual: NGN50k per transactions and NGN200k daily cumulative upon go-live NGN500k per transaction and NGN500k daily cumulative upon approval.
A Registered Business: 200k per transaction and NGN1m daily cumulative upon go-live 500k per transaction and unlimited daily cumulative upon approval.
NGO: NGN50k per transactions and NGN200k daily cumulative upon go-live NGN500k per transaction and NGN500k daily cumulative upon approval.

I want to know how to programme the Pay Now button in such a way that I will pass the charges to my customers and this will only reflect at checkout page.

To pass fees to your customers on the gateway navigate to Settings and click account settings on the dashboard, then select the option - make customer pay the transaction fee.

What is the difference between Pin auth and VbV securecode authentication?

For Pin Auth, card pin is required after which OTP sent by the bank is supplied. For VBV SECURECODE, you specify a redirect url, on the charge leg we return an authurl to you, you are meant to load the authur in an iFrame or redirect to it, the customer would then complete the validation leg on the page you loaded. Once done we return a response as appended query strings to your redirect url.

Do you accept bank account and card payments from other countries in Africa?

Yes, we accept Card Payment from anywhere, in countries where the local currency is not supported, you can charge the cards in USD, GBP or EUR. We accept account payment in South Africa, Mpesa in Kenya. We will be able to support bank account payment in Kenya and Ghana very soon.

Which Nigerian banks are supported?

For Card Payment, we support all Nigerian Banks. For account payment, we are live with Access Bank, Sterling Bank, Zenith Bank, Providus Bank. More bank partnerships is in the works.

How do I get my settlement?

You will be settled the next day of a transaction for Nigerian transactions while other currencies will be settled 14 days after. USD settlement below $2000 is at a $50 dollar fee while $2000 and above is free

How does a merchant receive USD payments?

You need to have gone through our compliance process by providing all the requested company documents required at the "Add bank account" step. Once this is done, send an email to hi@flutterwavego.com to get the feature enabled for you.

What are the pricing for Rave?

Rave’s standard pricing for Local transactions are 1.4% + NGN50 and for International 3.5% + $1.

I heard that per transaction: NGN50,000 and per day: NGN200,000. Does this mean I cannot receive more than the amount from my sales?

Transaction limits are flexible on Rave, and based on client’s collections requirement. For client’s who want to accept above the default threshold, you can send us an email

How much can I move out of my Rave account?

You can move all funds in your available balance (T+1 for NGN and T+14 for USD, GBP and EUR) to your bank account.

Do you offer wire transfer to international Merchants?

Yes, we do. We can settle you in any bank. We settle your collections into your designated USD domiciliary account in a T+14 cycle.

Can I also disburse using my Rave account?

Yes. You can use the payout feature on the dashboard.

I cannot process dollar payment on a website I integrated Rave on. Why?

To charge in currencies other than NGN, please contact Rave support.

I would like to know if there is a way to verify a tokenized card has enough balance before charge.

Currently, there is no way to do this.

Does Rave support USSD?

Yes, we support USSD Payment from Zenith Bank and GTBank.

How are USD payments routed, do they charge USD (strictly USD cards) or they convert to NGN and charge the equivalent?

USD transactions are charged in USD, exchange rate is determined by the bank. You will see the local currency equivalent in your bank statement.

How do I pass Rave charges to my client?

I am an entrepreneur looking to set up an operation in Kenya that would accept payments directly from customers' bank accounts. Which Kenyan banks does Flutterwave integrate with?

For now, we support Card and Mpesa Payment for Kenya, we will reach out when we start supporting bank account payment.

I saw that Ravepay is only (for the meantime) supported in 4 African Countries and with support for US Dollar, so then, if someone in Sierra Leone (which is not yet supported) wishes to buy or sell some stuff on my app, can they fall back to using dollar for the meantime and can I mandate ravepay to disburse the seller's earning to their designated local bank?

Yes, you can. You can either receive payment in the country's local currency if it is supported already or in USD. We are adding support for more currencies on a rolling basis.

We don't have a Bank Account in any African country. Our Company & bank account is Registered in India. Can we still use Flutterwave and does Flutterwave offer international Wire Transfer withdrawal in India to its merchants?

Yes, we can settle USD, GBP or EUR into your bank accounts in india denominated in those currencies.

I want to be able to accept in naira despite that my bank account is in USD. Is this possible?
